Pros

I love the day-to-day of my job here, working on great books

Cons

No one department seems to know what the others are doing; annual reviews are frequently skipped, systems are out of date, longtime employees don't believe the company has their interests in mind. You feel very much a cog in a wheel.

Pros

Great people to work with. These are people who know the business and have good ideas that might help the company regain its respect in the industry. Harper is/was a respected quality publisher.

Cons

Ever since Jane was pushed out, the book people have taken second chair to the money people. Jane had the ability to take suggestions from everyone--even the lower level employees who had good ideas. In fact, she asked for suggestions.
