My time with Hyatt

Pros

Pros of this company was definately the culture family oriented with a emphasis on excellent treatment for the guest. Associates were treated like gold and with respect. Those who were there for years were not just taking up space but were good employees.

Cons

Sometimes leadership positions were not easy to obtain for long term associates. Also I as a minority would have liked to see more leaders in more prominent roles with the company when I worked there from 89 through 1996.

Pros

Great upward mobility, tons of locations to work at, and comfortable work environment. The company takes time to invest in you and make you a better Sales Manager.

Cons

Horrible bonus structure, some hotels are more fun to work at than others. Most departments at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla are very fun, while the Sales department is selfish, anti-social, and there is no chemistry amongst the reps.
