Pros

Highly structured organization operationally, but career paths are self-driven Good compensation, benefits, and associate resources (i.e. daycare, room discounts, etc) Many professional development opportunities and HBR online learning programs Some departments and leaders encourage career advancement Working daily with lots of smart and talented people Company culture of community involvement (Spirit to Serve)

Cons

Like many large companies, politics influences decisions at the senior leadership level Highly bureaucratic so it takes alot of time and many approvals to "get things done" Promotions often based on senior leadership favorites instead of merit/performance Work/life balance depends on the department Inconsistent communications among departments makes it difficult to get to know people in other functional areas

Pros

The company culture is often quite pleasant as everyone is generally friendly to one another. Opportunities for promotion exist if you put in the work. Pay is marked at about average for the market I serve in.

Cons

Interaction with the guests can be taxing. Hospitality is a high stress business, you are often racing to complete several tasks at once. Work can be tedious and boring after some time. As a night auditor the hours you work can take a toll on your life as you are operating on a schedule that is against that of the general populace.

Pros

Its been a good learning experience and as such you would get an oppurtunity to do what you do best. Benefits are good. Multicultural and good teamwork among employees.

Cons

12 free nights is meaningless as you never get an oppurtunity to take all of them. You learn for the rest of your life when will you earn.Pay scales are one of the lowest and no they would not pay as per the market or the experience of the individual. They are willing to loose good people as they think their brand is much more better than the people who work here. Policies and procedures take over people skills and experience. Change is difficult and yes what happens in one part of the world does not necessary happen everywhere.Reduce politics and power lobbies as they are harmful.
