Pros

The job is very challenging and my colleagues and I learn a lot from the people within and alongside our group. The benefits are great and I feel like there are a lot of opportunities to move around within the organization as a whole.

Cons

Morale is low on my immediate team in the past couple of years (full service design group). What used to be a fun place to work has turned into a place where you are treated like either an "insider" or an "outsider." There is this sense of favoritism towards certain people and the level of trust is very low.

Pros

Fairly well perceived in the city, having "Andaz" on your resume looks impressive Great employee discounts at other Hyatts, 13 free nights at Hyatt hotels after your first year of service Offer RRSP matching and competitive benefits

Cons

Extremely short staffed, Work / Life balance is non existent Lack of direction and support Not enough communication between department Conflict in upper management trickles down Do not promote from within Environment is very toxic Leadership does not listen to employee concerns even when brought up repeatedly

Pros

Coworkers, interesting job, fun events and clients. The people are what make this job bearable. Free or discounted accommodation at other Hyatt hotels worldwide.

Cons

Terrible leadership, miserable pay and lack of career development and progression opportunities. Most of the staff work long hours and do not receive adequate remuneration.
