      Good company with great potential

      Pros

      Excellent ability to acquire undervalued companies. Excellent networks and contacts, as they deal with the senior most industry executives. Gain expertise across many sectors. Lots of research available to read and learn from. Compensation is quite good, especially if you get a stock grant.

      Cons

      IHS has trouble integrating the firms they acquire. Hard to move up the ladder if you at not a political animal. The managmeent cluture is kind of stiff...think AT&T. Can;t fault them for this, but the bottom line rules. Sometimes has too much influence on theri decision making, so you are always lookign ovver your shoulder.

      Pros

      Great people to work with. Very Friendly and have a company culture (in Calgary) that is second to none. They give you 3 volunteer days a year to be out in the community giving back. And very much promote a healthy work life balance. They focus on putting the customer first in all that they do and have company values that can be seen at work everyday.

      Cons

      Like any big company comes the red tape. At times it can be slow to get change pushed through which if you are not use to it can be frustrating.
