The focus during the pandemic for the largest global events company was to save as many jobs as possible. They offered sabbaticals, employees could volunteers for severance plans, the top execs took pay cuts. Travel was limited, offices were combined, shrunk or eliminated where employees could work remotely. Bonuses were paid in 2020 for the 2019 year when they could have been removed as a cost saving measure. - Benefits are great! Looking around the market now the out of pocket for medical in a lot of other companies is double what you'd pay at Informa.
Cons
- Due to pandemic, wages were frozen for 2 years and with inflation sky rocketing, it created a huge gap in wages vs. the market. - The company needs to sort their staffing as things ramp back up with events. Always ones to do more with less, they need to get their staff out from under the water and focus on reducing major burnout and fatigue.
