Pros

Decent pay, office culture is good, consistent hours without working more than 40-45 a week.

Cons

Mandatory in-office 3 days a week, no exceptions. PTO is horrendous (unlimited for some roles, other it’s only 15 days a year). Only 6 corporate holidays off. Some roles are not flexible where you have to be on at all times, making it difficult to flex outside of work. Takes a long time to get promoted. These rules will have to flex with the current lack of finding talent.

Pros

Benefits, (illusive) high compensation, stock options

Cons

Outdated, over-engineered systems. Office politics are unbelievable - promotions only happen if you're "on the inside". Have tried to push some of my ideas and the outcome is usually either complete rejection or put aside until someone in management would take the credit for it. Very high turnover - people do leave all the time due to high stress, no growth, insane hours, tons of red tape and outdated processes. Their double digit bonus promises fail all the time... they rarely meet their goals... at the low level, in other words, bonuses are trimmed at levels everything below management so management can get their targeted percentage.

Pros

Have the opportunity to learn about commodities and/or derivatives trading. Nice office. Great opportunity to learn or reinforce understanding on modern frontend and backend development conventions

Cons

They will tell you it's hybrid, but it ends up being mostly or entirely onsite. Easy to run into micromanagement. Not much of an office culture. Very inflexible on the work policy.
