Employees not valued

Business Outlook

Pros

There is a lot of support internally with different departments. The company has a great track record and lots of experience. Ability to move quickly and push projects forward

Cons

The company does not value work life balance. Senior management loves to talk about innovation yet is pushing to get employees back in the office during the pandemic. Too much unnecessary travel - maybe they could save money if they didn't spend on this! Lots of flip flopping from project to project makes it hard to build trust with landowners and sink your heels into a project's unique challenges. Low pay.

Pros

Good PTO, lots of potential opportunities in various energy sectors, experienced managers

Cons

I love how many of reviewers on here are leaving 4 or 5 stars but also state that Invenergy is a "revolving door" or has "high turnover". The reason is because of average to below average salary, unhappy employees, stressful workload, no equity, and an inattentive CEO. Also the HR individuals are a waste of space (but that's true in all companies). Automation can't replace them fast enough

Greetings, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our PTO policy and your perspective on what it was like to work on our team. We appreciate the feedback on employee turnover and the workload you faced. We understand that this is a demanding environment with rapidly shifting priorities and employee retention is really important to us. That is why we have been trying new ways to better understanding the experience of our team through employee engagement surveys and focus groups. We are using the information gathered to improve the resources we offer to help our teams meet the challenges of our dynamic industry. We are also using the feedback to better understand what aspects of our total package they care about so we can reward our teams in ways they truly value. Regarding the HR team: we hear you and are actively testing new solutions for the issues raised. Sincerely, HRBOT-1000

Falling behind competitors in the industry

Pros

Really nice and smart coworkers

Cons

The lack of flexibility, and bad office environment are a big downside. There are no office amenities, and the pay is not competitive enough to justify full time in office. The micromanagement around the enforcement has made it so people feel like they are judged for taking PTO (because people see they are not at their desk). Senior Leadership is wildly out of touch as well. Of course you don’t care that you have to come in 5 days a week, you make $400k… not $65k like an Analyst. There is a complete lack of understanding that employees are people first, and the lack of empathy is disturbing.
