Pros

Decent benefits. Pay is alright. Technology and name in security are good.

Cons

Too much politics. U either accept what Russia says and make friends with them or ur time is counted. U r not relevant to them. Make sure to get in on a good pay level. Just look at the amount of mid level turnover recently.

Kaspersky Response

Hi! Sorry for the response delay. Thank you for appreciating our pay, benefits, technology and reputation! It's always good to know. Then, I want to say that our turnover in 2015 matched national average number. We aware that some of our employees can have issues with cross-cultural communications. I'm sorry that you didn't request a training for cross-cultural awareness from HR before making a decision to quit. Also I want to say that most our sales leaders grew up from the inside of the company. Last promotion from a sales rep to a sales manager happened in December 2015. And as final comment, I want to clarify that global sales management team is located in Moscow (Russia). London (UK) and Boston (USA). So it's not precisely correct to say that "Russia says", it could be either of these three territories.

Pros

The company actually gives a damn about how comfortable you are at work - gym, massage, good insurance. Office culture is very pleasant, the majority of colleagues are able to sort even the most unpleasant crisises with certain amount of professionalism and detachment from emotions (so your percentage of shouting hysterical people will be a tad lower comparing to other workplaces).

Cons

The first unpleasant thing you'll encounter is the salary you've agreed upon while negotiating the position will be divided into 2 separate portions, the first one (60-80%) will actually be your salary, and the rest (20-40%) will be paid (or not) if your management feels thing's going good. Which is especially weird if you're working in engineering role and don't have sales performance KPIs. This isn't being discussed during the interviews, so it's the surprise you're face with while accepting the offer or in some cases while signing the documents on your first day. Be prepared to the fact that almost no one in the company is actually responsible and accountable for anything (be it technical results of sales forecasts). This means that other than a few people who actually care for their domain for their own personal reasons it would be actually almost impossible to make people do their jobs well (or at all). If something bad happens - there's slim chance to none that any lessons will be learned since almost no one works of improving business processes in all of the departments.

Pros

Great people, professional environment, interesting technical challenges, lots of opportunities for career progression, adequate compensation

Cons

Product direction occasionally neglects quality in favor of time-to-market which is a common thing in large corporate environment. This is not a recurring trend however.
