Pros

Good work/life balance Good salary/benefits Nice location for families Opportunities to travel/work outside of U.S. Opportunities to work in a individual or team environment

Cons

Too focussed on short term and satisfying wall street Need to innovate in outside of core products Do not promote from within Hiring from outside for Director and above levels Too reliant on outside agencies and vendors instead of inside expertise Slow to make critical decisions Poor career / training development Bonuses and stock options only at Director and above level

Pros

The pay was decent (especially being a college student). They offer good locations to co-op. The experience you get from working in an industrial manufacturing facility is defiantly worth it, especially with a Fortune 500 company like Kimberley Clark.

Cons

For me, my mentor wasn't quite prepared for my arrival, so my first few weeks weren't quite as exciting as the rest of my co-ops.

Good Experience but Not a Career Company

Pros

- Benefits are still competitive with similar companies. - Pay is decent. - Most line level employees who actually do the work are great to work with and want to succeed. - Some facilities located in great areas. - Great place to gain experience supporting and delivering well-known global brands and products.

Cons

- The CEO is not respected or trusted by many rank-and-file employees. The CEO rating on this site is a good representation of the larger employee pool at Kimberly-Clark. - The 9-box grid forced ranking performance management system has driven salaried employee morale into the ground. People who used to love coming to work now hate it.. - This is no longer the house that Darwin built. And it really started getting bad over the last 8 years. - Low and middle level managers are afraid to challenge leadership above them. Senior leadership has not fostered an environment where people feel comfortable challenging the status quo.
