Pros

Wide range of jobs available to everyone except the overheads. Company prepared to move you around to gain experience.

Cons

Is my job safe, yes I am an overhead and despite the recent re-alignment I do not feel comfortable that I have a future with KC. Forced ranking is a nightmare and only focusses people on trying to find the person to put in the bottom quadrant. And what is ZOG all about?

Pros

Kimberly Clark pays a fair to good salary and is some what stable depending on the location. It is also a safe place to work.

Cons

New programs especially lean manufacturing are force through the mills without a clear understanding of how the programs work. Then it is up to the mill manager or some assigned specialist to implement the system. (almost always incorrectly)

Pros

Great products with great manufacturing technology. Great place to learn both and potential to improve on both.

Cons

Due to reorganizations and layoff, career development has been very limited the past few years. Current performance review system involves forced ranking of employees, which after going through several layoffs, can be extremely unfair and demoralizing to those who are left. Changes in the industry has put more emphasis on cost savings and desire to make better decisions on projects has created a large beaurocracy, making it very difficult to make decisions and get real work done. It seems, at times, following the "right" new practices and procedures are more important than actually achieving results.
