Pros

KT is one of the leading companies in its industry - there are a fair amount of policies that would actually work, if they were enforced. Benefits are admirable once and if you get to the management level. Before you get there however, watch out.

Cons

You really are at the store manager's mercy. If you have the "luck" of having a good, loyal, ethical and positive leader, your experience working at KT will be tolerable. Unfortunately, most of the store managers explore their assistant managers and the assistant managers pass it on to the workers. You have the most unpredictable schedule and even after it is "set", you can never trust it because the SM or AM always change it, because people call in or just because, but your life/work balance is inexistent. Wages are the lowest AM and lower and if you are a part-timer, inconsistency of hours will also concern you. If you would like to have a break during your sometimes 12h shift, well good luck to you. If you are eating and a customer walks in, you need to let go of your food, stop chewing immediately and help your coworker in the line for 15 minutes until all the customer are gone - good luck if you risk trying to re-re-re-warm your food and waste those precious 45 seconds you have to finish eating...

Pros

there are no pros for company

Cons

The required hours only increase, when they hire you they say it's usually between 45-50 hours, after they bring you on board it's a required minimum of 50 and after that you need to fill the hours that no one else will work or stay until all their "little things" are done. If you ask off you will pay for it dearly. If you pitch in to help with daily duties you are told to delegate. If you delegate you are told to work along with the co-workers "roll up your sleeve" yea right..... If you are let go, your insurance ends that same day, even if they took all the deductions out for the month it will not matter, it ends that day not the end of the month. They are the only company I've ever heard of that does that. The way they run their schedules allows them to over work the co-workers every week without paying overtime, who ever heard of a work week running from Friday to Thursday, it's just so they can avoid paying overtime.

Pros

great pay decent 401 k plan 40 percent of annual profit goes back to employees as a bonus of 12%

Cons

poor mgmt depending on location They don't tell you during interview that you will be forced to work at other stores in your region to help out. They make you tuck your shirt in and make you wear ridiculous arm sleeves when making chicken, but also make you wear a headset while making chicken which promotes cross contamination cause they don't clean those radios. They force you to find a replacement when you call in sick and if you can't find one you have to come to work still. If you have a Dr note you still have to find a replacement. I have back problems and was told I had to continue to work in the kitchen even though I injured my back in the kitchen. other employees got special treatment. mgmt unwilling to give employees a set schedule. two days of training videos - can't remember anything with just visuals - terrible training. Every store trains differently. You will be told you're doing things wrong even when you do things how you were told. only 15 minute breaks and they time you from the time you leave the kitchen and buy food so you actually only get a few minutes if you're lucky.
