Don't do it

Pros

None. They will mislead you to think you will make a sustainable living.

Cons

Everything else. Poor management. Cliques. Low pay. Terrible health, dental, eye insurances. Bare minimum PTO and expected to work every single holidays if it is during your schedule (Christmas Day is the only exception)

Has potential... not quite mature enough yet.

Pros

Lots of rapid growth if you're interested in picking up and moving potentially across the country. Young leadership = fresh eye for what's trending.

Cons

- Employee retention VERY LOW priority - Young Leadership = short span of patience, inability and unwillingness to work with less seasoned employees to become stronger in their careers. - Comp. plans are deceivingly terrible. Continuing to get worse over time. I understand that this is a for-profit company, however every quarter pretty much I receive a new comp. plan with goals that become exceedingly less possible to hit. Minimal opportunity to bonus. - Company will be bought out in the near future which will make goals and budgets even more impossible to hit and succeed. - Not competitive pay by any means. Management tries to use the "free membership" as a way to say the pay is competitive. Tried to tell me to use that line when I was recruiting. I refused. - Would not be a member if I didn't work here. I have a full family which is who the facilities cater to and I know that the place isn't worth the money being asked for. Try to nickel and dime the members for every last thing. If a member doesn't end up paying for any extras, they barely have space to get a work out in because all of the paid programming takes up the fitness floor. - Life Time Live? Seriously? You want to monopolize the entire US or something? Would NEVER live in one of the facilities. I understand the convenience factor is a great concept but I foresee a lot of issues with the launch of this concept and given Life Time Corporate Team's "lets throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks" attitude, it probably will lean more toward bad than good. - Work/Life balance is practically non-existent. Great for someone who has no life outside of Life Time, however that is not the case for most employees. Sales = expectations to stay longer than scheduled if not on track to hit. PT = same. Spa = same. Cafe = same. Aquatics = same. Member Services/Front Desk = same. - One of the companies who claims a three strike policy and no politics in the work place but just says it and doesn't actually mean it.
