Pros

beautiful facility, access to all amenities, great in the summer, discount of spa services and restaurant.

Cons

too many hours that are not paid for. the every day meetings at 1pm are unnecessary and should be paid for. if you are not making sales constantly you are not making any money to live off of. they reel you in with a whole idea that because that clientele has money, sales will be easy because they have so much money. long days, and 12 hour days the last 3 days of the month. forget about having any friendships or life outside of work.

Cons

As with all private large companies, this company is greedy and pretends to care about customers but in reality they are trying to squeeze them for every penny. If you enjoy acting like a used car salesman all day, this job is for you. Look up Life Time lawsuits and you will see how this company routinely cheats its employees and breaks labor laws. They act like they have made changes since these lawsuits but nothing has changed, they have just gotten better at firing the people that would blow the whistle before they can step forward. While working for this company I had a revolving door of General Managers - none of which lasted more than 8 months. They don't take the time to train anyone properly and then fault people for not knowing how to do their jobs. Their expectations are completely unrealistic. They tell you to have life balance but expect you to work 60 hrs a week. You are required to work every weekend and holiday and obscure event that has nothing to do with your area. Plan on spending 14 hrs at work on the final 3 day of each month. As a manager they ask you to do highly unethical things and then turn the wolves on you when you refuse to break safety rules or state codes. If you aren't in the kool-aid drinking, brown nosing clique of high schoolers that runs the company then they will make your life miserable. On multiple occasions I was bullied by another manager to the point that HR got involved. However, due to this other manager having a buddy in the corporate office, no real action could be taken for fear that HR would get in trouble with this higher up.

Terrible for Operations

Pros

You get to work at a gym in a customer driven environment.

Cons

I worked here for 2 weeks as a second job with no direction on how to clock in, business operations, daily duties, etc. from management. Everything was told to me by a coworker after I would ask questions. I informed management not to count on me for set hours from the get go so it was more of a schedule me day by day kind of thing. I worked here for 2 weeks, I was never paid, never rescheduled, never talked to management, never contacted about working more shifts, I never even received a membership to the gym. All in all this is a very nice gym as a customer but for employees I believe there are better gyms to work at if that's what your career goals are.
