Pros

Free membership, fun coworkers, professional atmosphere, good pay during busy months, positive environment, opportunity for advancement within the company.

Cons

Absolutely no work-life balance (I was told when I applied that I would get two days off in a row twice a month, once on a weekend, once on weekdays, I never got two days off in a row a single time in a year), treated like you're a number or a pawn for corporate to make more money, forced to lie about your numbers at the end of the day which jeopardized my integrity, management has a "my way or the highway" mentality, no room to be creative, very high pressure- if you don't hit quota you will get fired.

Pros

You get a free gym membership and a small discount at the spa and cafe and training, but not enough to make the spa products or training affordable.

Cons

Corporate is only concerned about money and getting more members, and not at all concerned about their employees. Everyone in middle and upper management was extremely stressed and all corporate could say was, "What's wrong with you guys, why aren't you working harder?". They change things very quickly, and even after being there for awhile it's difficult to adjust. They changed the uniform for the lowest rate employees (8$/hr) twice in one month and made the employees pay for their new wardrobes. We had single moms on in that group, trying to provide for their kids, and I was very upset with management that they made their lowest rate employees fork over so much money, and then tell them, "Actually, we don't want to do that anymore. Now we want you to go buy more clothes that look like this..." Nobody I worked with liked working there. The turnover was high, and you were considered a veteran if you had been there for three months. They are only interested in hiring people who can be hard sellers and who don't really care about people, just about making money. Don't be fooled by the beautiful building and seeming success and professionalism of the company-- it got too big too fast and hasn't been able to cope with itself. Do not work here. Corporate does not value its people. You will be a cog in their wheel, and if you stop working exactly the way they want you too, they will promptly get rid of you.
