Pros

Free Membership, beautiful facilities, great place to make lasting connections.

Cons

I understand that a company's success is dependent on its ability to create new revenue, but a Fitness Corporation's philosophy should primarily focus on the health and wellbeing of its members. LT only sees new members as dollar signs. They care about a member only when they open their wallet, rather than that member's individual progress, success, and overall experience of the club. There is an astronomically high turnover rate because employees are valued not by the success of their work with their existing clients, but by how much more money they can bring the club, while simultaneously being paid as little as possible. Employees are often asked to do tasks well outside their job description with no extra incentive nor compensation. Speaking from personal experience: If you don't stand up for yourself in this place, you will get taken advantage of.

Pros

the facility is lovely. Being around health minded people will invariably change your habits for the better.

Cons

You are a number to them. There is no better way to say this. They do not care about you or your career. I have been close personal friends with several of their top performers in every role and have held top stats in my role as an account manager for consecutive years. I have never seen a company change their sentiment on passionate employees more quickly and for more inane issues than Life Time. Best example I can give: a personal training manager for a club that produced significant revenue was sent a template style thank you letter from headquarters after 10 years of employment. Thoughtless.

Pros

Gym Membership, benefits available, and discounts on services.

Cons

Management can be biased and does not take action regarding expressed concerns. Coordinators favor particular technicians and will try to ensure their goals are met for achieving commission levels. Coordinators will also tell established clientele that a specific technician is no longer with the company so they can schedule them with another favored technician. Can be a toxic work environment with typical gossip, games, and occasional theft.
