Pros

The facility members are for the most part, polite and approachable. The facility is aesthetically pleasing which makes for a pleasant environment to work in.

Cons

The facility is vast with several departments, it is BUSY, it has a kids academy, tennis courts, several swimming pools, classes etc. oh and the phone is ringing constantly. As a Member Services Associate you are bombarded with everyone going everywhere, you can easily deal with 200 people in an hour all of that to earn under $9hr. Males at the front desk must wear business professional attire, which means dress slacks no khakis, dress shirt, and tie, and they prefer you wear a suit jacket as well. Females must wear shoes preferably heels, dress skirt and blouse and possible jacket. You have to stand up constantly in these dress shoes with no seating options and you only get a 15 minute break. If you have a problem with a member or employee or any kind of grievance it will be ignored, this is a company that has over 100 locations and the employee experience is last on their list of priorities. The high turnover is due to the fact that the kind of employee Lifetime wants can get more money and get treated better elsewhere. Who wants to wear a suit and only make $10hr?

Pros

Access to mid-level fitness facilities included with benefits package

Cons

Senior managers and supervisors admit to being "adrenaline junkies". This translates into a high-pressure atmosphere and constant pressure to perform at 110-percent, 100-percent of the time. I saw several of the female employees crying at their desks before they suddenly quit. I became cautious within the first month of my employment, became more concerned the second month, and quit after the third month. 'Just wasn't worth the stress. I have noticed a continuous stream of job listings for my position since leaving, and it is not because they are experiencing dramatic growth. I was never going to "fit" into the Lifetime culture anyway.

Pros

Free membership. Literally the only pro.

Cons

- toxic staff - God awful management - lying - backstabbing - no choice/flexibility in shifts - same degrading pay for 4 consistent years with empty promises - write ups stemmed from lies to push me out of the company Best decision I ever made was to take the leap of faith and just quit. Thank God. Steer clear of this toxic hell hole y'all
