Great colleagues at IC level, but toxic culture above

Pros

Most everyone from the IC (individual contributor) level have been great to work with. Perks are pretty nice in terms of reimbursements. E.g. they allow you to reimburse up to $2k for personal travel and other benefits

Cons

Most everyone from the IC (individual contributor) level have been great to work with, but worse and worse the higher you go. The rat race is real here and those on higher levels are not afraid to stomp you down to get themselves further up. There is a SEVERE lack of empathy the higher up you go. The benefits are great, but they can take it away at any minute. The benefit of reimbursing travel is amazing, but they took it away for about a year or two before adding it back due to the huge backlash the change received. This is the dichotomy of pros being cons is the overall essence of the company. LinkedIn will say they are data focused and then turn around and lay off the Data Science team. The remaining teams will have to cobble together what's left. The culture has changed. The consistent high ratings are all from years past (pre-2023). Since then, there has been a gradual and consistent decline in culture. Urgency has dominated the workplace even if it is the smallest ask. Toxic positivity is prevalent throughout all manager levels to varying degrees to the point where we have to inflate our employee voice survey results. Work life balance is more like work life integration where work takes precedent over life. Do not expect consistent work hours, One day you could work for 4 hours, and another 14+. It really depends on the whims of leadership. If they ask you for data, you are expected to return it as soon as possible while having little support on getting the correct data. Pushing back on timelines will receive pushback on why you can't meet that timeline. Unlimited PTO is a farce (which probably shouldn't be surprising for folks that have this "benefit" before) and not only is it limited in the number of days you can take, but it is limited to certain times of the year. I have seen people work/answer pings and calls DURING their time off. Promotions are not dictated by hard work, but rather by company need and "budget" and most of all, politics. As of my departure, it feels like certain areas of the company are run by a skeleton crew - the minimal number of workers to produce a somewhat acceptable output that is a bandage solution to a much larger and deeper-rooted issue. I would highly suggest you look somewhere else for opportunities as there are none here.

Too much thrash, politics & incompetence

Pros

Can still justify staying as it's still overall a decent culture when you compare it to other big tech companies, but it has really gone down the toilet over the years. Stick it out at if you don't care about professional growth and want to collect an okay paycheck. If you're hungry and early in your career, you should leave.

Cons

Stay away from LTS marketing. Highly political with "leaders" who have been at the company for too long and have gotten too comfortable for real innovation to take place. Favoritism is rampant and poor management is allowed to exist. Talented employees leave and colleagues who were doing great work but lacked visibility due to poor managers quietly fired.

Pros

Base pay is good. Benefits are great. New products and product enhancements are solid.

Cons

-There are no stock refreshers without a promotion and promotions are few and far between. You need to hit your number and because Sales Finance is horrible at setting targets you need a miracle. -Commission structure has become an absolute joke. You get paid 40% of your commission for hitting 80%. Then 80-100% is 3x multiplier to get you to that full 100%. The really egregious part though is the targets and the lack of consistency in how they are given out. One half you can hit 120%, and the next you can hit 50%. Sales Finance is laughable at setting goals and truly worst in class. -Management creates performative non-material work for you to validate their jobs. -Career opportunities are non-existent. Mobility is non-existent. If you want to try and move upward or to another team, it's held against you. Your manager layers in more quota for you to save the numbers for the other team members who will stay.

Pros

Honestly, it’s hard to even say there are pros anymore.

Cons

Low bases and terrible comp plan - no one can pay their rent/mortgages, but are forced to live in SF/NYC. Managers are terrible and have been at the company for like 15 years - most of them are offline throughout the day and have no idea how to even sell the products now. Most people are not happy…. Use to be a great place to work.

Cons

A culture asking you to bring your authentic self to work and then uses it against you Constant fear of layoffs Middle managers who are essentially order takers A ceo who has no idea what he is doing Teammates who will choose to add to toxic culture elements rather than look out for each other VPs who should not be holding a VP position

Pros

Great benefits and looks good on the resume.

Cons

Toxic culture, layoffs a constant worry. Managers are useless outside of barking orders from above.
