Pros

Sorry to say but couldn't find any Pros only because I was so mentally exhausted to see any positive side and all credit goes to my so called "Manager" How I wish I could write his/her name here but that makes the difference between me and him/her :)

Cons

Please note a Company is never bad but the people are. It totally depends on your luck what kind of Manager you get for the project you work. For me it was the toughest time I had in my entire life. Only because of one person, my Manager! Politics and only politics. No standard of Manager (atleast in my case) no sense of how to talk and that was the only reason I left company in less than a year. Management should survey and look after such people because of them Company is facing a loss of good employees.

Pros

Payment being payed in timely manner

Cons

Very aggressive culture against those who are not Danes and against women alike. Women are sub-represented in general and they are appointed in low paying jobs. They have to struggle a lot to speak in men dominated meetings. They normally don't have a voice. If you are a woman and want to have any chance to succeed in Maersk Denmark you need to cut your hair short and behave like a man. Soren Skou is obsessed with himself. Each day there is a new video streaming on the Intranet with him looking down to his employees and giving tones of empty advises. When I was there I felt that the voice in Orwell 1985 novel is speaking to me. I felt like in a concentration camp in China. Mrs. Skou, let others talk as well! You are not a celebrity and employees don't expect you to be. Employees expect them to be happy and respected in the company you manage and they are not. Furthermore, management is petty and aggressive. You have no chance to grow no matter how much you work and dedicate. At my beginnings with the company I used to work during weekends as well. My enthusiasm sank after a year or so when I realized that my manager didn't even know what I was doing or even giving two cents on what I was doing. When I spoke up I was summarily dismissed. These are just bits of a dire time for me in Maersk Denmark. I hope someday this company will die out. They don't deserve to exist. They treat employees and customers alike with despise, arrogance, aggressively. Their understanding of leadership is that of imposing on others, obliging others, squashing others. Only few weeks ago an internal message on Intranet said : "Maersk from defensive to offensive" . This small nation and their Maersk business is at war with the world. Somebody wake them up and advise them that we are in 2021, the era of peace and collaboration, of inclusion and diversity.

Pros

Lot of good work and if lucky will get chance to work on it. Good salary and perks.

Cons

Instability, Jon insecurity, lack of career progression options in UK as location focus is India for technology related work. Favouritism and most of the important roles and promotions are location specifics. I have seen 6 rounds of redundancies
