No company is perfect but I'm happy with the challenges I face here at Mace!
Pros
The company is privately owned and the owners are all fully involved in the day to day running of the business so very visible and accessible to people working at all levels. It's an ambitious company that is constantly evolving so lots of opportunity to work in deferent sectors or disciplines. I've had 2 promotions in the 5 years I've been here and received a performance related bonus every year. No company is perfect but I'm happy with the challenges I face here and suspect the could be very different at other companies with less support from senior management.
Cons
It is a very competitive environment so only the strong tend to gain recognition. The company has grown in size so needs to update some of its back office processes such as the appraisal system and payroll to sustain their growth. It's also lost some of the small company personal feeling outside you immediate team/project.
