Pros

I worked in higher education. The people were very welcoming and the atmosphere was casual. I could wear jeans to work. I got so many opportunities to work on involved projects. I truly felt like part of the team. I stayed for another semester and kept freelancing after that. I met some amazing friends!

Cons

It's paid (which is awesome) but it's nearly minimum wage

Pros

small company feel, great benefits, great people to work with

Cons

all the imprints often act as if they are their own company instead of a part of the huge publishing house of Hotlzbrink / Macmillan
