Pros

Staff are great, print products, content and marketing are good quality. Work is interesting and always changing which is both good and bad

Cons

The structure of the company has changed a lot in recent years. Salaries aren't high and getting a decent payrise is all about negotiating with someone who is not your direct boss. Lack of internal communication between departments. The digital strategy and technology is not up to scratch but this is an issue with most publishers.

Pros

The people who work there are passionate about what they do. Most of them are very smart, engaged, and conscientious.

Cons

The company promotes people who are good at certain aspects of their jobs, not always the most important parts. The company moves far too slowly for the current publishing climate.
