Pros

If you are intelligent and enjoy being surrounded by stuck up people who are not as smart as you and who work much less harder than you yet make more money than you than voila this is your perfect dream job.

Cons

I was given a work load three times as time consuming as the other Production Managers who are juiced in while I received much less pay in terms of salary. The management plays big time favoritism and selects "royalty" for the cushy jobs while giving the hard working employees the shaft. Average level of intelligence for the workers is surprisingly below average. Human resources department is corrupted and protects upper management. Bad managers who do not really know how to motivate. Bad people all around.

Pros

Nothing special or nothing specifically horrible. It is an average place to work for. But again most of the workplaces are average.

Cons

Long hours, performance is not rewarded. Project plan is not realistic at times. Year end review are a joke. Managers think they can do anything.

Pros

Great regional management...not much micromanagement at the regional level and an overall good culture compared to the other large publishers. Certain lists are dominant, like Psychology and English

Cons

Has moved from being a flat organization when I started to a much more corporate, big-brother environment at the top. Technology problems. Reps carry entirely too much product - not enough time to sell with as much as we have on our plate. Expectations are too high for what we are paid. Compensation plan is just okay. No company trips. Just a bonus, which is lower than most of the industry at plan.
