      Pros

      - The people: everyone at Medium truly cares about each other and the product - Ownership: the company is still so small, as an engineer you have a lot of ownership over what you are working on - Move quickly: Medium lets you move quickly and get your job done without a lot of bureaucracy in the way. Employees are encouraged to work on what they think is best for the product (within reason)

      Cons

      - Lack of focus: at times the company, and the management, seem to lack focus and direction. - Not a clear path for career advancement

      Provided meditation is not just a perk, but a team of very relaxed, caring and mindful people.

      Cons

      Sometimes can be TOO mindful, debilitating amount of caring and sometimes felt that the care only went to those in the "diversity" category.
