      Decent pay, lively office culture

      Cons

      Most people I encountered were vacuous, spotlight hungry but lacked any real substance and intelligence beyond holding down a job. Culture of bullying and playing the blame game.

      Pros

      It was a good job until Medscape began trying to recover losses and there were multiple rounds of layoffs, with no transparency or communication.

      Cons

      My managers began editing nearly every word of my writing, introducing errors to my articles, in some cases posting their egregious errors in published articles. I was also underpaid.

      Pros

      As long as you don’t want to stay for any time more than a year, acceptable. Use them as they will undoubtedly use you. A stepping stone until you find something better.

      Cons

      A lot— terrible team structure, back stabbing from so called leaders. Retirement match is a joke. Support from HR is non-existent. The company operates like a machine, but if you accept you’re an expendable cog you’ll be fine.
