Pros
- There are some good people (kind, approachable, helpful) at the company. - Flexible with remote or hybrid work location. - They do have many processes in place that can be learned and they try to document training material for new hires or client transitions
Cons
- Leadership is lacking (not in touch with the day-to-day teams) - Lack of investment in staff skill development and career path - High turnover and many layoffs (better keep that resume updated) - Expect a very busy workload and long hours (I think this is related to staffing challenges). Also, it seems that doing your job well usually leads to even more work piled on to you (instead of training up other staff members). - Although there are friendly and collaborative people, there are also quite a few "clickish" people and it seems this heavily influences both hiring and day-to-day office experience. Some people are given grace when challenges come up while others get thrown under the bus. - Resources for training material are often incomplete, outdated, or they do not apply to real-life scenarios. It's better to get feedback/advice from a good/relevant contact in the organization that has experienced similar obstacles (this can also be challenging).
