Pros

Good benefits like premium private health + technical people were nice to work with

Cons

Technical stagnation, increase in size, many of which in management who were doing more harm than good. Lots of recruitment in Bangalore creating communication challenges on the co-located dev teams. General lack of direction and a myriad of communication problems inside and outside the immediate team.

Pros

They are taking care of us during the pandemic focusing on the wellbeing of the employees. The company values have shifted with Adena at the helm. It is more human than before. I thought renaming the HR department to the « People@Nasdaq » was a gimmick, but after 10 months into this sanitary crisis, the efforts to keep us in good health (both physically and mentally) are truly commendable.

Cons

The work-life balance used to be really bad until a few years ago. Things are a bit better but too many jobs go to Eastern Europe or Southeast Asia when local people would make a difference. Not that employees from those regions cannot do the job well, but being in the correct time zone and with the same culture as your local clients can help make a difference.
