Pros

+ Pre IPO. + Competitive environment. If you enjoy working on new stuff or see your ideas come to life this company is for you. + Brainstorming and open discussions is the norm. + Growth is guaranteed if you perform. Unless you are an a_hole to people or a true slacker you are well taken care of + Fun social life. We have food drinks and social groups for softball, soccer, sailing, jam sessions, bar meetings BEER WINE TASTING etc really cool people

Cons

- Depending on which team you are, you might end up working on weekends here and there or at midnights - If you are on a Visa ask first what to expect due the lawyers are not really good at following up

Pros

- Great product and Gartner Leader for Identity and Access Management - On track for IPO - Strong C-level executive team - VC backed by Andreesseen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital - Unlimited PTO (double edge sword)

Cons

- Unpleasant office space for sales team in SF - not natural sunlight and stark walls - supposed to move by end of year to a new space. Impacts recruiting and productivity - Politics of a larger public company - Adding middle layer of management creates bureaucracy and unneeded layers. 5 layers between the sales rep and CEO for a 500 person company - Limited people making number in emerging and corporate sales - territories skewed to favor a few that have major metropolitan cities - NYC or Bay Area - Talent and gender gap in Sales and very young sales tenure - Unclear promotional and career track - Talent gap in sales - promoting people into closing sales roles with less than 1 year experience

Pros

— Humble, friendly, respectful culture. Colleagues are kind, hard-working and smart. It is a refreshing change in a city full of egos. — We're growing, and fast. It's an exciting place to be and there is a lot to be done. Looks to be lots of opportunity as we scale. — I was admittedly initially concerned about some of the reviews on Glassdoor of women at Okta, but have been pleased to find the opposite since joining the team. I've felt included, supported and listened to by executive management, my boss and other women at the company. There are plenty of glass ceilings to be broken in SF/Silicon Valley tech, but I believe this is a good place to do it from. — The products work! And people like them! And we use them too! Crazy.

Cons

— Free lunch is like eating at grandma's, but hey, its free lunch — Office space is in transition, sounds like it will be fixed by November
