Pros

Dog friendly. Least challenging job you’ll ever have. Great starter job. Unlimited PTO. Health insurance. Free snacks.

Cons

Executive team are hoteliers without technology experience who insist on micromanaging. CEO has an obsession with loyalty and it made me very uncomfortable. To succeed here you have to be a yes-person. Don’t question anything if you aren’t a family member. Three big rounds of layoffs in one year. Very old technology means everything breaks regularly. No effort to improve because there’s extreme inexperience at the top. Some employees are allowed to take excessive vacations while others are never able to leave. Nepotism is a real issue at this company. CEO hires his family and hotelier friends into major roles even if they don’t have experience. Beware of positive reviews without any cons, they might be fakes. Read the negative reviews to get a good idea of what it‘s like to work here.

Horrible Management Toxic Company

Pros

Dog friendly office. Work life balance is ok

Cons

- Senior management never takes any responsibilities for their bad decisions. CEO is a former hotel guy who is incapable of running a gaming company. - The company makes decisions purely based on politics and not performance. Recently they fired almost half the people in the bay area office, despite the app performing really well, and decided to give it to another office that has a history of failing time and time again. - The turnover rate is unusually high. They fire so many employees regardless of performance. There has been 2 mass layoffs in the past 12 months alone. - Pay is low and extremely hard to get a pay raise. Yet they make you do a self appraisal every 4 months.

Ego First, Tasks Second

Pros

Dog friendly office, some good people, ok office layout

Cons

The compmay culture is built around people that values their ego first and getting things done is second priority. Competency around the company varies by department/team. One of the directors, with absolutely no hands-on experience for the past 7-8 years (check LinkedIn or resume), shines the egotistic culture more brightly than ever
