Pros

Great opportunity as an entry level person to be a fly on the wall, understand how development works as an industry Managers and technical advisors often work very horizontally, making my voice feel heard (at least with those I work with most directly) Lots of flexibility to get involved in work across the company

Cons

Seems like everyone around me (besides myself) is scrambling to find a work/life balance - not sure if its a cultural thing to try to impress upon one another how busy people are? Senior management has no clue what is going on in the minds of employees below them, and are resistant to change.

Pros

Great team, clear KRAs, ambitious people, good stepping stone

Cons

Going above and beyond is encouraged but isn’t really recognised/acknowledged. Once you get to middle management (ie Team Lead, charged with standing in for Deputy Directors) requests for professional development are pretty much ignored, major salary discrepancies between equivalent roles (my counterpart within the same project was paid £12,000 more than me and I was never given a clear or understandable reason as to why that was the case). EAP resources and third party providers are primarily based in Australia, which can be hugely inconvenient for UK based operations and staff
