      Toxic Environment, Interesting Projects

      Pros

      Palladium is involved in a range of interesting aid programs around the world, and there are opportunities to touch a lot of them if you connect with the right people on the projects. It's not a bad place for an entry-level individual to get some hands-on experience for a year or so before moving on. If you are interested in developing technical expertise, you are probably better off on the BD team as the technical associates primarily help with editing work. If you are interested in the operational side of things, the project delivery department is the most consistently busy at Palladium and is always hiring due to their tendency to use and abuse staff. I've noticed an unfortunate tendency on the technical teams to look down upon operations personnel as admin assistants.

      Cons

      Palladium has an unfortunately toxic work environment with very high turnover which makes it hard to feel connected to the company or the work. There are minimal opportunities for advancement and projects are aggressively siloed. Pay is below industry standard and you need to be aggressive in hiring to push for the appropriate level and salary. The company uses parity as an excuse in locking people into lower levels or lower salaries as a lot of current staff are also under paid and over due promotions.
