      Incoherent vision, horrible culture

      Pros

      Flexible about telework and remote work. Party culture (if that's your thing): Free booze during impromptu in-office happy hours; raucous holiday party and afterparty

      Cons

      I was employed by one of the disparate companies acquired between 2011-15 by GRM, an Australian "development" firm trying to gain a foothold in the U.S. market. In mid-2015, all of the companies were rebranded as Palladium. The previous GRM cabal, a clique of Australian and British men whose expertise is in trimming operational costs to the bone and finding tax havens, remains firmly in control, finding ways to funnel as much in fees and profit to themselves as possible. They seem to enjoy jetting around the world from their home base in Dubai, trailing stories of sleazy behavior and misogyny in their wake. They have no expertise in most sectors of international development and seemingly no desire to, preferring to use short-term consultants to execute technical work and focusing their energies on the financial side. During and after the rebrand, management implemented increasingly draconian, Sisyphean policies on staff, all the while framing its mission to "make it possible" in jargon-heavy, fatuous terms that no client with more than two brain cells would buy into. I decided that the company's values had become so opposed to my own that I couldn't continue working there.

We're building something new, which is greater than the sum of its parts - including our Australian founders of the legacy GRM International. This growth and vision of who we want to be comes with some difficult decisions, but ultimately enables us to do the kind of truly excellent work that both our people and our clients can be proud of. "Make it possible" is a corporate tagline - we all know this. But it's also a mantra that our people are living every day.

      Fun work environment and nice people i liked it. Their offices were small and in a strange building blah blah

      bad compensation, poorly managed and uneven pay structure pay is not too too good but also not too too bad but i dont know

      Dysfunctional and disingenuous

      Pros

      Sadly not many. A handful of collaborative and talented colleagues from legacy acquired companies - Futures Group, The Palladium Group, DTS, Carana Corporation.

      Cons

      Duplicitous business objectives, unclear strategy, extremely dysfunctional self-serving management. Growth through a series of incongruous acquisitions with limited success at assimilation. Organizational 're-structuring' a number of times in past 2 years. No transparency, disingenuous, senior management comprised of clique of friends. Culture is go along to get along. Focus is on making money for cadre of 'shareholders' (read leadership team and a selected few favored employees) and not on making positive social impacts. Marginalizing true thought leaders; very limited internal thought leadership or innovation. HR is mouthpiece of leadership, no functional integrity, not advocate for employees, and challenged to retain talent. Declared "Year of the People" as company sheds tenured employees under the guise of redundancy. Ironic?
