Pros

New office as only I can think.Nothing great as such.

Cons

If you love buttering to Manager , then this company is serious Heaven for you. Most of the good work taken by US Team.US teams treats Indian developer like Slaves and even if you do good work, slowly they will take over it and pretend as if they have done the work and you were just fixing or adding small feature.Bad work culture over here. Please don't join until unless you want to waste your life.Lot of firing happens. In Bangalore, you will lot of manager will go to US and book nice hotels and stay over there and visit to multiple cities by company budget and don't allow developer to go to San Jose or even any training or event.Whenever you approach for these thing then they will say "We have budget constraint". Don't trust if they show We are in Top Best Place to Work in India. If you looks stats on Glassdoor or Forbes it don't stand in top 100 also.So please don't trust if they show you or tell you that we are Top Best Place to Work in India.

A downright toxic work environment

Pros

Flexible schedules Working with some of the best talent in the industry

Cons

Top down management style (explained below) What the new senior management has been doing as part of a drive to redesign the company is to eliminate certain units, redesign some and grow a chosen few. The method of implementation however has not been to layoff employees, but it has been to create a very hostile work environment in specific groups and departments to encourage attrition. And in some cases where individuals do not leave in a few months - as a last resort, some employees get specifically targeted at each level where in a situation would be created for them that pushes them to leave. They would find themselves in a situation where a new construct requires a different skill set. Or their existing jobs may suddenly require them to work in a different location owing to a new drive in which every member of a single functional unit is to be sitting in the same office. Hence they would either end up in a situation in which they may be fired by finding some excuses for poor performance, or they get fed up and leave on their own if they act first. What is also unfortunate is in such a environment, nepotism, racism and favoritism tends be very rampant as everyone tries to save their own skin

Pros

Time off is about the only benefit anymore, and it's really dependent on your leader.

Cons

PayPal used to be enjoyable and seemed to care about both customers and employees. However, greed and incompetence has led to the exact opposite. Some days I'm not sure how this company is still functioning, let alone succeeding, with the skeleton crew they have left of people that do work. They have extremely inflated executive roles they have filled with people they know that are so unqualified for the position that it's nearly impossible to work with them. They laid off so many people that they didn't replace, followed by droves of people quitting, half the time people are just trying to figure out who does what anymore. Work is constantly left undone, customers are frustrated, and projects are unfunded and stale. This is an absolutely awful environment, unless you obtained one of the high leadership roles simply from nepotism (who doesn't want six figures to do nothing). Raises are 1%, pay is below average, and you have to practically beg to hire necessary help (which takes months to years to fill now). If you can make it until the company is sold or executive leadership is finally gone things may turn around. Otherwise, I would never, ever, ever, ever recommend working here for anyone. The most toxic work environment I have ever experienced and it gets continuously worse day after day. If you enjoy constant anxiety about potentially losing your job and/or you like watching inept people get promoted, that is the only way you will like working here (under this leadership at least).
