Pros

Discounted text books. Several departments give you a laptop that you can take home and use personally (though don't let IT support know).

Cons

Micromanagement from senior managers and directors. Very low morale. No work/life balance; demands to work weekends and evenings constantly. Ongoing high stress. Poor planning and execution of plans. No progress opportunities. incurable leadership incompetence. Utter dishonesty from management, they tell you one thing then do another. Miserable working conditions.

Pros

My co-workers were an eclectic a group of people. The fact that Pearson is in a very interesting and important industry enables a sense of accomplishment even when completing less-than-exciting tasks.

Cons

The lack of communication between various divisions and departments was very annoying. Some decisions seemed to be made by 'no one', just the product of a committee of timid individuals who might have lacked the requisite knowledge to even discuss the subject.
