Great community of people, books and authors. Appreciated company’s social commitment to promote literacy, champion freedom of expression, and support the next generation of writers.

Cons

As most jobs go, the environment and mood depends on the skill and leadership of direct supervisors and that next level of management. Many ups & downs due to bad bosses. New direction is unfortunately choosing automation over people.

Pros

The nicest team I have ever been fortunate enough to work with. Absolutely stunning central location (on Strand, with direct views at the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament) and the Embankment Gardens literally outside the door. Interesting work, prestigious company, great corporate discounts and tons of free books.

Cons

Very few opportunities to move upwards. Money is very average and raises happen rarely. Staff often kept on temporary contracts and let go with little warning.
