Pros

the co-workers are all friendly most of the management is pretty fair you get 50% off on everything except wings could be good for some people but not me since i don't like pizza hut food.

Cons

there is very little advancement opportunity in my case there is none since I'm just a phone girl or box girl as the managers would say. I have worked there 19 months and the only reason I'm not getting paid the same i was when i first started is because of minimum wage going up and its not just me all of the shift managers some who have been working there for 3 or 4 years are still only making minimum wage. They also either don't let you work more then 2 or 3 days a week or have you working 6 or 7 days a week and still only getting between 15 and 25 hours. I have worked 6 days a week for the last 5 months and since I have worked there have not got more then 24 hours in a week. The assistant managers are also very lazy and mostly just stand around.

Pros

I had a great District Manager. Learned good basics of management.

Cons

The company is struggling to stay in business. Food costs, minimum wage increases, and policies from obama have destroyed this company's profitability. Assistant managers now make a dollar more than minimum wage. General managers make the minimum wage for salary. Changes in product and confusing/shady commercials have erroded the customer base. As store manager I was held personally accountable for a decline in sales that began the month the stock market began to plummet. I literally told that the economy had nothing to do with sales. Additionally my store was robbed at gun point and I was forced to pay back money lost along with me being demoted 2 days after the robbery. I was repromoted 6 months later after the new manager was fired for drinking on the job and theft, but only in job title not in salary. President of our franchise literally walked out in the middle of the day and quit... The president!

Pros

The store I worked at had a small delivery zone, so we could make more deliveries in less time than other stores. If only the management was competent enough to increase customer satisfaction so we'd get more orders! However, I was rarely stiffed, and easily made $20 an hour on weekends.

Cons

You will often have to work during the hours that are most fun not to work, because this is when people order the most pizza. You must drive a cheap car that's cheap to maintain, because you will be incurring severe wear and tear on your car, no matter how responsibly you drive, due to all of the starts and stops. You can try to move up into management, but you'll only be paid minimum wage for the first year, and hardly anything more on top of that (it's not worth it). You will be expected to wash dishes in your down time, but you can easily get away with not doing them due to management apathy.
