The business is volatile and can be crushed easily by their competitors if not done correctly. The turn-over is high and I've seen people let go immediately with no notice and there's a hush-hush attitude about it. Work environment is fierce so you have to be careful whom you may disappoint or else management will easily let you go, I've seen it with my own eyes.

Whomever wrote about the Intuit mafia in another comment here is right. 16 people got hired from Intuit in the last 6 months, and, it seems mostly for management positions. 3. Newer management in question doesn't really understand our business, and doesn't listen to old timers. They often act like they understand and know more about the platform than us. 4. Newer management makes a lot of ill conceived decisions that are discouraging real talents, thus increasing loss of tribal knowledge.
