Cons

No collaboration between teams - everybody is fixated on their own P&L. Mediocre people, who know how to navigate the intricate politics thrive in this environment, where as motivated people who require recognition of their talent leave. Pay is below market for most positions, therefore the quality of most of the staff is also below market. Overall reigning carelessness and covering the bare minimum. Feels almost like a government organization, both in terms of the abundant red-tape and the lack of engagement of employees.

50% of immediate co-workers are assassins who have no qualms backstabbing you to gain favour with the Japanese management. Japanese management side with each other and help each other to promote. Extreme favoritism and bias-ness, no career progression for you no matter how talanted you are if you don’t bootlick them. Super manual jobscope that can be eliminated with better systems. Decent starting pay but you won’t get any higher without bootlicking as well. Make tons of excuses to deny promotion yet promotion is granted to best friends and bootlickers who have minimal contributions. If you’re new or young, forget about trying to make an impact as they deem you to be inexperienced and your word can’t be taken for. Horrendous company.
