Pros

The people, hands down. Some of the best and brightest that could easily work else where but chooses to work here. Some of my closest friends I've met here.

Cons

Typical to the industry, fast paced and tough work-life balance, but I think most people choose it out of passion for their work.

Pros

People: The best perk or benefit about working at Pocket Gems is working with humble, down to earth, extremely smart and talented individuals. Great Culture: Pocket Gems is a true start up at heart. Zero red tape. Employees are given freedom to make right decisions to help the company grow. Mission: The company has a great mission to become #1 in mobile entertainment space and to build the best mobile team in world and I think every decision made by the management team is inline with Company's mission.

Cons

To nice: I think people here are too nice and I am not sure if they can convey a tough message to any employee as needed for the organization.

Work hard, play hard

Pros

Things are done fast here once you convince the right 1-2 people that it's worth doing. It's a very agile environment and we try to be flexible with our priorities. Everyone is super friendly and easy to get along with. There's lots of social events and the whole office turns into a party on Fridays. Pool table, foosball, ping pong, Nintendo Wii -- it's like a gigantic playground!

Cons

You do have to work hard at this company. Working late into the night past midnight is not the day-to-day norm, but definitely something to you'll come to expect around major release dates, emergency bugs etc. This might be due to the fact that we are quite ambitious with the features we try to cram into each release and management does get stressed out at times.
