Pros

Excellent company -- best CPG company anywhere. This company will support professional development for staff, including on line courses and degrees from major institutions. P&G is the gold card for CPG companies -- they are the masters in brand management and set the standard that other companies can only hope to come close to.

Cons

Located in Cincinnati OH and doesnt attract younger work force. Like any company, as you move higher in the ranks, the opportunities get less. However, management will support moving to a new assignment to broaden your experience.

Pros

Easy to sell products. We have the best products in the market. Products in every consumer product category. Amazing training. Intense training sessions along with online training database. Supervisors are extremely willing to help you along with your career path. Managers are not only looking out for the company but for your best interests as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at P&G because of the great company and amazing people.

Cons

Company is very very large. A lot of bureaucracy. Sometimes it's hard to get things done. Because of the importance of work/life balance, many people work from home so it makes it a little harder to coordinate meetings and scheduling projects together.

Pros

There are great growth opportunities, with very strong mentoring and management support for career guidance. Strong network of people, with comparatively minimal politicking. In Procter & Gamble, there is a lot of emphasis on building competencies and coaching. Management also encourages a lot for the employees to look not only at internal corporate trainings but also link with the industry best practice, talking with vendors and other best in class companies. There is also lots of importance placed on recognition and providing feedback to employees both in a one to one environment as well as in a bigger group for recognition.

Cons

Very strong will to succeed is embedded in culture, but alsocausing employees to struggle with work and life balance
