Pros

As an employee you get extremely good benefits. The club blue package is amazing with a lot of free perks. It is a very respected bank that pays very well compared to other banks and some of the employees have good intentions by being very available to help customers and genuinely care about helping their clients.

Cons

The biggest headache about RBC Bank is the micro-managing. I have been micro-managed to the point that my blood pressure and stress level are through the roof. Managements' micro managing tactics add so much stress and work that it is extremely hard to perform the basic teller job. Have been cussed at by my manager because I didn't perform correctly like the perfect monkey they want you to be. No matter where I have worked, I have always been looked at as a perfect employee and one that can be depended on no matter what. Sometimes I feel like this is the opposite with RBC. They will take advantage of you if they can. I would only pursue this job if you can handle the extreme sales tactics, scripts, and constantly demanding customers to sit down with a RB even when they do not want to. If you do not have a good manager it is a very difficult job to keep even if you love the company like I do.
