Pros

Unlimited earning possibility if you have a large and strong network of working professionals. Allows a lot of flexibility for you to work on your own schedule.

Cons

Lack of training on the products and services provided by the company. An expectation to bring in sales from your personal network prior to being provided training on the product. Business ethics are undermined in order to pursue sales.

Pros

Good analytical support; good work-life mix; reasonable autonomy; has attracted some very good talent -- much of the new talent is significantly stronger than those who manage the firm

Cons

like a gangly adolescent -- it may be strong and well-built sometime, but now it's all arms and legs and doesn't know what to do with them
