Do Not Apply if You Plan to Become a Developer
Pros
- Good benefits - Nice people - Good office location (Close to Union Station)
Cons
- Lied on job descriptions; applied to be "Test Automation Developer", but actual position is "Quality Engineer" with responsibilities only in manual testing - Test Automation is a mess and a scam; no time allocation, no coding standards, no documentation or unit tests, you will most likely get moved to another project before you can complete any automation - Absolutely no room for growth; once you become QA, you basically forfeit your chances of becoming a developer. A fresh graduate is deemed a better job candidate than a QA with 5+ years of experience, even in the eyes of hiring managers in the same company. - QA treated as non-prod support, getting spammed by downstream users on why something isn't working or requests for data - Forced back to office (tracks employees with card scanner)
