During busy season you feel as though the firm owns you. Although some of the partners/managers are great, there are equally the same amount that are indifferent to your overall learning and growth, which makes it feel like you're just a money maker for them. Also although compensation is competitive with other public accounting firms, the overall industry trend in audit is to pay employees less than what they would make in private. This makes turnover very high.

Most laid back culture Do not promote team work Solo rating with minimum support on training and development Short term prospect with minimum opportunity to rise A lot of politics amongst top management, causing junior execs to suffer Limited opportunities to look beyond what you specialise in, only a few who are good at building their relationship MAY have opportunities Bosses who are stuck up there for too long seem to be arrogant and point fingers on junior members in order for them to look good The blame game is strong and not everyone will survive Without support and help from management, it's very likely to lose your job fast Worst remuneration and benefits Bosses do not show a single care on how you perform and help you along the way will have dire consequences.
