Pros

Uses to be work life, but the change in leadership has made for a utilization obsession that is boarderline insane.

Cons

Where to start. You aren't valued at all here and shallow butt kissing gets you further than actual work. There is an insane focus on utilization over quality of work. I've seen people purposely do tasks that take 1 hour do them in 8 hours to boost utilization. And that makes them more valuable than the person that does it in an hour or less with this stupid system. The pay is also garbage compared elsewhere with raises below inflation. I'm pretty sure no one here even knows how to use technology and the perception of "A digital firm" is all smoke and mirrors. AVOID

Pros

I don't have any except for making friends from trauma-bonding

Cons

- There is a culture of bullying that permeates from director level down to line management - People are so afraid it's impossible to get much done without top level management signing off on every small project and when yo do, it is highly criticised - there is no autonomy or trust, only micromanagement - appraisals are opportunities to critique your character, not give constructive feedback on you work - I experienced gaslighting and bullying which was disguised as 'managing' - there is little to no room to progress unless you have an 'in'

Pros

The good thing about RSM is that they offer a good salary, and the opportunity to work from home is always avalaible. If you're studying for the ACA qualification you ll have plenty of time to revise for them especially when sitting your professional level exams. There are many training workshop aim to help you improve in a diverse range of skills, and they have their own personalised portal where you can go and take on courses such as excel etc...

Cons

The culture is too toxic. All the seniors if things are not going the right way they end up putting all the blame on the traine to save their feedback. I don't know about the other offices, but the office that I worked was split in groups. Where each group would try and slaughter the other. Another thing is that they will report you to seniors and hr for anything. For example if you don't wear a tie, surprise surprise you are getting reported. The feedback for each of the client that you work on is full of bias. If you have built a good enough personal relationship with the AM then even if your work is not of the high standard you will still get a good feedback, and if you haven't build a strong relationship with them you ll get a feedback. I can go on but this should be enough!!
