Pros

Manageable work (unless you're inept). Most bosses are nice but as with all workplaces there are certain toxic ones you hope to avoid. Luck of the draw i guess.

Cons

"If you want Big 4 pay, go to Big 4" - Mr Chio '2021 And so I did.

Pros

Inclusive and engaging environment that allows young professionals to learn the accounting profession and become financial experts

Cons

RSM has the same weakness as most public accounting firms, long hours and critical thinking are to be expected - especially during busy season. RSM provides the big four experience while allowing more flexibility at similar or better salary levels.

Pros

- Free biscuits and coffee. - Some genuinely caring, highly intelligent and inspiring colleagues. - Access to (relatively) high profile clients and work.

Cons

- Terrible compensation - among the worst in the mid-tier market. - Poor retention, to the point that on-the-job training is poor. Everyone's a newbie and all the good ones eventually leave. - Staff are viewed by senior management as interchangeable inputs and treated accordingly.
