Pros

Colleagues are ok, many of whom have been working there for too longgggg for a reason.

Cons

Director who is usually not around but could see through other people’s eyes on what you are doing. The hear say is enough to get you fired. No proper guidance, weak management, no commitment in training people and worst is force you to stay back after office hours for the sake of doing so. Make working there difficult, useless benefits and cohesion activities that makes the company feels cheap. Fundamentally, makes you question why are you there in the first place so do stay away.

Pros

If you're desperate for a job out of college they will hire you. There is always room for more drones willing to make minimum wage copying and pasting Excel sheets. That's honesty the only pro there is.

Cons

Literally everything. Like many others, I got sold on the broken promises of better "work/life balance" compared to Big 4. But having worked at both, can confirm that RSM is no different. 70+ hour work weeks, travel every other day to the most random places on earth, and below minimum wage salary. Say goodbye to your mental/physical health and any form of social life. The only major difference is that you will actually make even LESS money to work here, for a smaller name on your resume, making things harder when you're inevitably ready to leave in a year (if you can even survive that long). If you're a recent college grad entering the world of public accounting because you have no other choice, just take the higher pay and better name on your resume at a Big 4. Do not believe the lies about better "culture" at a smaller firm. I've been gone from this place for over 2 years and still have nightmares.

Pros

A lot of online training material available to use anytime you want

Cons

Senior manager is the worst person ever. He is only looking to become partner. Doesn't care about the jobs he is on or the clients that are his. Barely shows up to meet clients. If there is no senior or manager on a job, you have to take ownership. Not a low level staff who doesn't know the ABC of auditing.
