Pros

The pay is good, top out at $19.30ish in little over a yr.

Cons

They will work you 7 days a week. When I first started I went 42 weeks without a day off. It stopped for a few mos and back at it again. You have no family life if you have kids. I missed little over 3 yes of my kid's life due to working there. I'd never go back if they even offered me $30hr. I was looking to leave there at the end of the yr and take a lower paying job just to see my kids. They look for ways to get rid of you if you get hurt and that's what happened to me. I'm still fighting works comp , I need surgery on my shoulder and can't get a job due that every employers use St. E. To have a physical done and it's in the system that I have a injury. Bottom line is it's not a good place to work they don't care about you. And they have full-time employees there now that are looking for a different job or if they weren't making what they were making they would leave. I have to add this even the nurse on site said I could not work because they cannot meet my restrictions, but they went against her word and still kept me working long enough just to fire me.

Pros

Has had tremendous growth over last several years. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

New Executive management team of the steering business in the US is extremely removed from the day to day operations. New exec management team operates on remote control -- invisible to the plant and among most of the staff. The handling (firing) of the long term executive management team that had led the company to huge growth and profitability bordered on unprofessional, and has poisoned morale. Fear exists among managers and non-managers that jobs are not safe despite good performance, and that new executive team will bring in more long-term Bosch employees from other locations that they are more comfortable with. Entrepreneurial spirit of the organization has been killed. Centralization of certain functions has decreased quality of support and efficiency of problem solving locally, and has resulted in loss of jobs at the Florence site.
