Pros

Balance exists between work life & family. Overall friendly environment for co-workers to work together. Holiday & special event meals are sometimes provided by company showing the appreciation of employee work.

Cons

Business practices are inconsistent and vague to employees & vendors. Lack of internal and external communications. No frequent opportunities for pay raises, advancement & training available. Too much fraternizing and socializing - employee productivity is lacking.

It is an well established organization with long history in oil and gas industry.

Cons

1. Minimum 9.15 hrs of working. 2. Appreciation and grooming of leadership does not exist. 3. Huge politics in everything. 4. 3 months notice period with conditions completely against employee. 5. HR personnel are rude and arrogant. 6. Bare minimum annual increment and that too only 3% range and always delayed. 7. Promotion is for only people who are close to higher management or doing politics.

- Good and knowledgeable colleagues - Reputable in the industry - Interesting projects and other aspects of work - Generally slightly better pay than industry and more generous overall benefits package

Cons

- It's an italian company for italians. If you have high ambitions for your career and eventually want to be a part of senior management it's gonna be tough. - No yearly feedback or objectives setting. Employee evaluation exists only on paper in HR, in reality (at least in my team) you get zero feedback or any sort of talks about your career and future at Saipem - Generally the culture isn't that great, mainly due to senior management - I find that feedback is never taken into consideration
