Pros

Stability. Santander does a good job at minimizing layoffs and if a department has a downsize, they will try to fit you into another compatible area of the bank.

Cons

Below industry standard pay. Very minimal raises. One percent raise across the board for everyone does not keep up with inflation. Very hard to move up within the ranks. Lack of empowerment. Non-existent company culture. Unfortunately the company only gives lip service to listening to their own employees ideas and would rather pay outside consultants to give feedback instead of getting it from their own people.

Pros

Good benefits, decent compensation, friendly work environment. It's a good starting point in the financial industry.

Cons

Lack of training, inconsistency with policies and procedures, managers don't seem to be on the same page, lack of opportunity for growth.
